2005 Celebrating “Living Stones” Mandarin Service's 5th Anniversary

Our "Living Stones" Mandarin Service (MS) is now five years old! In these five years, the congregation has grown from a spiritual infant, drinking milk, to a sprightly youth filled with the Holy Spirit and actively involved in blessing our community, as well as missions work overseas. It was with great rejoicing that we celebrated our 5th anniversary on 18 September 2005.
We began the celebration in worship, with our worship team singing a new song "Jesus! Jesus!". As we worshipped, we sensed the magnificent presence of the Lord.
As the worship ended, Rev Wee Boon Hup was invited to dedicate this occasion. He thanked God for everyone in the congregation, and briefly recalled the inception of “Living Stones" five years ago.
He shared his aspirations for “Living Stones” to be the bridge: to bring the good news of salvation to the Chinese-speaking community in Singapore. He said that as the majority of the English speaking population have heard the gospel, the "torch" is now in the hands of the MS members to reach the Mandarin-speaking population.
He concluded by encouraging "Living Stones” to love the Lord more deeply, ever learning to serve the Lord.

Then, it was time to mark the "birthday" of the MS. Together with some of our church leaders, our cell leaders were invited to the front as the birthday cake was brought in.
“活石” 华文崇拜五周年纪念日 “活石” 五岁了。在这五年里，“活石” 从原本那个嗽嗽待乳的婴孩，成为一了一个被圣灵充满的成长中的少年。并且活跃的参与教会组办在国内与国外 “活石” 的 250 名会友在 9月18日的主日早晨，迎来了 “活石” 的第五个生日的 “生日蛋糕”，几位教会的领袖也同我 。
石了五年前 “活石” 华文崇拜初序幕。当敬拜赞美的旋律在会所飞扬的时刻，我们深深的体会到主的同在。一阵回肠荡气的诗歌敬拜后，黄文合主理牧师受邀献辞。他首先为着所有的会众而向神感恩，接着简单陈述建时的情景。然后是对于 “活” 的期盼：大部分新加坡受英文教育者大都已听过福音，而目前福音的盲区是在受华文教育的社区里。“活石” 就要担当起这样的桥梁的作用。最后他鼓励 “活石” 要更深切的且的，爱主，更深入的学习，用以事奉主。全场报 宣教工作。以热烈的掌声。间中工作人员推出特制 们一起欢庆这个特殊的日子，为我们切蛋糕，同我们一起唱歌赞美主。由九位合音歌手演唱的新歌《耶稣，耶稣》中，我们拉开了五周年主日崇拜的。
