BUD - Newsletter for the Youths

The Youth Ministry is making some changes that will definitely affect you! We are starting a Youth Service called the CONTEMPORARY YOUTH SERVICE (CYS). In this issue of Bud, we want to dedicate it all to the launching of The CYS. We will touch on the vision, the objectives and the strategies of the Contemporary Youth Service. We believe that the Lord has a special plan for the youth in PLMC. And we pray that upon catching the vision, you will be able to support us and move with us in this vision!

What do you want to see among the youth in our church 5 years down? I would like to see them passionate for the Lord. I would like to see them passionate about their faith, that they will not be ashamed about the gospel. That they will go out to the 'nations' bringing the gospel to their neighbours.

What we want to reap will determine what we want to sow. If we want to reap a harvest of rice, we do not plant wheat or barley seeds. If we want to reap mangoes, we do not plant a banana tree. Likewise, if we want to reap a generation of youth who are fervent for the Lord, we need to sow the right 'seed' today.

What we want to reap among the youth in years to come will determine what we should be doing now. Having that in mind, are we preparing for the event? Are our current system, structure and strategies leading us for that 'harvest'? If not, then we need to change. We need to make some adjustments; we need to work some changes.

Youth Service

Changes have already begun for the Youth Ministry. And we would like to see the result of these changes in the years to come. I am going to share with you our vision, our objectives and our strategies for the Youth Ministry. I pray that you will catch the same vision, and come and work/pray with us.

The Youth Ministry is for those between 13 and 18 years old.

The Cell is both reaching in as well as reaching out. It seeks to help each member to grow into Christ-likeness. But most importantly, the cell should be reaching out, bringing Christ to those unreached people.
