2019 Easter Silver Boxes

The Kindy Department celebrated Easter on Sunday, 21 April, in an interesting and experiential way. lan Yap wrote the script and directed this experiential play. Our "actors" and "actresses” were our Silver Boxes leaders who took the step of faith and gamely acted for the children.
The children experienced how it felt on Palm Sunday more than 2000 years ago, and also visited a “museum" to hear what “Judas” and "Peter" said.
After that the children had a fun Easter egg hunt, to remember that Jesus is alive. He is no longer in the tomb, and He loves us, and wants to be our friend.
Junior
The Junior Department planned an Overnight Easter Camp that was held at GB Headquarters from 20 to 21 April. There were 69 children who participated in the Camp, "Arising with Jesus”.
We are thankful to Don Yeo, who planned and invited Elaine to co-teach with him, to lead the children to encounter and desire to listen and walk in obedience with God. Many children experienced God's power of love and enjoyed the Camp very much.
We thank God for the young adult worship leaders, who led the worship, and also for Megan who planned the exciting and fun games with Loretta. Beatrice taught and led the children to do the flash mob, "Happy Day".
Without our Silver Boxes leaders' dedication and commitment, this Camp would not have been possible. It is a joy to see the leaders and the children bond together, and pray together.
One girl who had not been attending Silver Boxes, joined the Camp, and after the Camp, she felt a belonging, and has been regularly attending Silver Boxes ever since. Praise God!
