2017 Holy Communion to Homebound Members
Sylvia Heng & Alice Yeo
Every first Thursday of the month, a group of about 60 members visit the residences of our homebound members to administer Holy Communion, and spend some time in worshipping the Lord together and in bringing cheer to them.
We were very much surprised to see Mrs. Alice Lim waiting for us at the car porch, as though she was waiting for the visitation of the Heavenly Father.
The moment she saw my car parked at the gate she walked slowly with her maid tagging behind to welcome us into her house with open arms despite her weak health. In our conversation, she shared that she misses the Sunday Church Services and thanked us for bringing the Church to her home and added she felt the presence of God in her.

Last year, Mrs. Teo Han Cheow complained she had bad dreams and hallucinations nightly and was unable to sleep well. We prayed for her on each visit and finally there was a breakthrough and she thanked God she was set free. We taught her how to meditate on the Word of God and speak God's promises over herself every night before she goes to bed.
On every visit, she testified that the power of God's Word healed her physically and emotionally.
Bringing Holy Communion to the Homebound is a most rewarding experience for us to provide the spiritual, physical and emotional care they desire and need. We are there to give them the assurance that they are not forgotten and always part of the Body of Christ at PLMC.
The smiles and hugs of these homebound members whom we visit make our time and effort worth it.
If you have the heart for the homebound and would like to bring cheer to them, please contact the Church Office.
