1992 Thai Missions
Reaching Out to the Thai
After several weeks of training, our missions team left for Thailand to minister. The following are their reflections:

Michael Lim (A Medical Doctor and Teacher of PLMC's Young Adult Bible Class):
"I have learnt a lot while visiting churches, Christian homes and schools in Thailand. Perhaps the next time when we have visitors from overseas, we should bring them to our churches and homes too. Then, they will be able to encourage us and be encouraged themselves too."

Serene Lowe (An Interior Designer):
"I became more conscious of the use of time after coming back from Thailand. I appreciated the simplicity of lifestyle there; making do without things like air conditioners or television sets, but only with the basic necessities. I really have a renewed sense of urgency to make good use of my time and to reach out to people with the Gospel."
Wee Yin Choo (A Sunday School Teacher):
"My faith was tested in Thailand because I had to learn to adapt to a new culture and I found learning a new language very difficult. Nevertheless, I found this trip helpful for my future decisions, whether to be a freelance missionary or to join a missions agency."

Iris Sin (A School Teacher and the Secretary to the Missions Committee):
"I was very impressed by Pastor Parkson's (a Thai Pastor who opened his house to the Team) humility and his sense of urgency to share the Gospel. I sensed that he was always excited by and mindful of opportunities to share the Gospel."
