The Ministers' Message

At this juncture in the life of our Church, we rejoice and give thanks to God for His guidance and blessings upon us as a congregation through the past forty years. We are what we are to-day because of the faithful labours of dedicated men and women, both ministerial and lay, who have contributed magnanimously and willingly their talents, time and resources towards the progress of the Paya Lebar Methodist Church.

We thank God for their faith, vision and service. May their life of dedication continue to be a source of inspiration and courage for our generation as we seek to share and preach the love of Christ in our day.

Our task in the present age is tremendous. The teeming population in our Republic challenges us to new heights of endeavour. The new housing estates around our Church demand our attention and ministry. The social needs of the community should also be our concern. The call for more labourers is urgent because "the harvest is plenteous but the labourers are few".

Let us all put our shoulders to the wheel, each bearing his responsibility, that together we may be a Church "set upon a hill”, witnessing to the truth and love of God, and ministering to the needs of the society. May we, in our time, be found faithful to our calling as the two servants were at the return of their master. (Luke 25:14f)

Bee Bee and I are glad to be in the service and fellowship of the Paya Lebar Methodist Church. We are thankful for all who are giving good leadership and faithful service in working together as co-labourers in His Kingdom. Pray for us and with us for a greater harvest in the days ahead.
